The pathway to greatness
We believe that greatness is achievable for everyone. This is not about lowering our standards, but instead expecting more from each other in all areas of performance. We are passionate about helping teams and organisations create great environments, which in turn create great people. We believe these empowered people will go on to become great performers and leaders, who in turn, help create those great environments.
It is our view that understanding the brain is central to achieving success in the areas of performance and mental health. Our director has completed Clinical Neuropsychotheraphy Practitioner training and is a Certified Brain-Based Resilience Coach, and all our psychologists have been through neuropsychotherapy training. For more information about neuropsychotheraphy, check out the International Association of Clinical Neuropsychotherapy.
We believe that connection and the therapeutic alliance are a priority for all successful sports medicine interventions. We emphasise client-clinician fit and want all clients and teams to feel like they are part of the LIFT family.
An important part of being great is about connecting with great people and great minds. As a result, we like to collaborate with other leading experts in fields of high-performance including elite athletes, entrepreneurs, thought leaders and other innovative companies and organisations. PERFORMERS ARE PEOPLE TOO!
Our belief is that mental health and performance are equally important, and that both need to be considered when working with the brain. Sometimes our work focuses more on one over the other, but most often, we will consider both in our interventions. We value people; therefore our approach is always person-centered. Healthy people generally perform better and more consistently.
Somehow we’ve come to believe that greatness is only for the chosen few, for the superstars. The truth is, greatness is for us all. This is not about lowering expectations; it’s about raising them for every last one of us. Greatness is not in one special place, and it’s not in one special person. Greatness is everywhere somebody is trying to find it.
